2007 Hanzell Vineyards Chardonnay
Enticing aromas of citrus and white flowers are the initial notes, but with time the wine unfolds to offer marzipan, pear, and toasted almond. A rich vanilla-honey scent gives an impression of sweetness to the overall aromatic profile. In the mouth, the inherent richness builds over time with classic Hanzell flavors of lemon, chamomile and clean mineral emanating from a tautly wound core structure which hints at what will develop with further aging.

2007 Hanzell Vineyards Pinot Noir
Roasted and savory spices, tobacco leaf, smoked meats, and scents of forest floor lend dark counterpoint to the bright fruit aromas of pomegranate, blackberry and orange-peel. Rich ripe fruit flavor gives balance to the copious mouth-filling tannins. With time resting in the decanter, the delineation between the fruit and the structure of this wine evaporates into a seamless and finely woven fabric of flavor and texture. The impressive fruit concentration and firm structural backbone ensure a life-span that will be measured in decades.

2006 Hanzell Vineyards Pinot Noir
Blackberry, strawberry compote and blueberry pie give this vintage a very prominent fruit character, but there is the darkness of tea leaf, humid forest, and a feral quality, like the fur of an animal or the nape of a neck. Clove and cardamom are warm spice notes that give the impression of sweetness to balance the firm presence of ripe tannins.

2007 Sebella Chardonnay
Sebella is the new companion Chardonnay label to the Hanzell Vineyards Estate wines. Lovingly named after the owner’s children (Sebastian and Isabella), Sebella has been created by following old world Grand Cru Domaine and First Growth Chateau classification philosophies. Sebella is a charming wine with the classic characteristics of our vineyard shining through. We think of Sebella as our Premier Cru wine, with aromas of ripe apple, hazelnut and honeysuckle with a creamy entry and true flavors of lemon custard combine with a long mineral-laden finish.
