Chardonnay 2005

Glistening and bright with citrus peel (mostly grapefruit) and bread dough aromas of yeast and wet flour. Subtle flower aromas lift the pear and apple scent and the honeyed, oily richness that develops with bottle age is just beginning to emerge upon the wine’s release.

  Hanzell Pinot Noir 2002

Pinot Noir 2005

Tea leaf, cigar tobacco, espresso, blackberry, cured meat and wet cedar give this vintage a dark aromatic tone. The aroma gives the impression of a warm, humid forest, rather than the dry mineral signature of previous vintages. A firm grip from the abundant tannin holds the palate tightly and provides endurance to the deceptively lush feel. [PDF Full Notes]
