Mr. Sessions began his winemaking career at Mayacamas Vineyards in 1964 and arrived at Hanzell in 1973. Serving as Winemaker and President for 30 years, Mr. Sessions’ respect for tradition has meant that Hanzell’s wines have never succumbed to passing fashions. Cellar-worthy wines has been the enduring goal of Mr. Sessions’ winemaking at Hanzell and his philosophy continues to steer Hanzell on a true path.
